The production team behind the theatrical anime Seishun Buta Yarou wa Dear Friend no Yume wo Minai has released new character illustrations featuring four key characters: Koga Tomoe, Futaba Rio, Toyohama Nodoka, and Hirokawa Uzuki.
Character Details
- Koga Tomoe (voiced by Higashiyama Nao) — Sakuta’s junior from high school, who has just started university life this spring.
- Futaba Rio (voiced by Tanezaki Atsumi) — Sakuta’s former high school classmate, now studying in the science faculty of a national university and working part-time as a tutor at the same cram school as Sakuta.
- Toyohama Nodoka (voiced by Uchida Maaya) — Mai’s half-sister on her mother’s side and a member of the idol group Sweet Bullet.
- Hirokawa Uzuki (voiced by Amamiya Sora) — the leader of Sweet Bullet.
The Finale of the “Aobuta” Series
The film serves as the concluding chapter of the Seishun Buta Yarou series — affectionately known as “Aobuta” — and promises to finally unravel the mystery of “Adolescence Syndrome,” the inexplicable phenomenon that has driven the story throughout the entire series. It is scheduled to open in Japanese theaters on October 16, 2026.
