The official website for Battle Spirits [Re] Zekkai no Kū, the latest television anime series in Bandai’s Battle Spirits multimedia franchise, has unveiled its main trailer, a new key visual, additional cast members, and confirmed an official premiere date.

Premiere Date and Theme Songs

The series will debut on October 6 at 11:00 p.m. JST on Tokyo MX and other channels. The main trailer previews the opening theme song “Here we are!” performed by JAM Project. The ending theme, titled “Pulse,” will be performed by Himegoto.

The newly announced voice cast is as follows:

• Taichi Kusano as Kū Bashin — a cheerful, positive, and sincere Battle Spirits fan who strives to grow stronger
• Daiki Hamano as Zetsu Ajara — a cold, unapproachable rōnin feared as a master assassin among Eternal Battlers
• Hiro Shimono as Ibuki Mizuha
• Mariya Ise as Yui Kusumoto
• Yasuhiro Mamiya as Suiboku Bashin
• Nana Mizuki as Mine Kusumoto
• Megu Umezawa as Shie Anpachi

Staff and Studio

Masashi Kudo — known for his work on Terminator Zero, Sanrio Boys, and Hayate the Combat Butler! Cuties — is directing the anime at Bandai Namco Pictures, where he is also credited for the original character designs. Toshizo Nemoto, whose credits include Inu X Boku Secret Service, Metallic Rouge, and both seasons of Log Horizon, is handling series scripts. Bandai Namco Pictures is additionally credited for planning the production.

About the Battle Spirits Franchise

Bandai launched the original Battle Spirits trading card game in 2008. Cards in the game represent dragons, demons, birds, insects, and other spirits that players command in battle. The game was brought to the United States in 2009. The most recent entry in the video game side of the franchise, Battle Spirits: Connected Battlers, launched for PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch in April 2022.

On the anime front, the franchise began with the 50-episode Battle Spirits: Shōnen Toppa Bashin in September 2008, followed by a new TV anime nearly every year through Battle Spirits Double Drive in 2016–2017. The three-episode net anime Battle Spirits: Saga Brave premiered in June 2019, followed by Battle Spirits: Kakumei no Galett in August 2020, and most recently Battle Spirits: Mirage, which launched online in October 2021.
