The upcoming smartphone game BLEACH Mirrors High has revealed illustrations of three brand-new shinigami characters designed by original manga creator Tite Kubo. Alongside the character reveal, a System Trailer has been released, showcasing the game’s battle mechanics and confirming that its story takes place after the events of BLEACH: Thousand-Year Blood War.
About BLEACH
BLEACH is a sword-action manga by Tite Kubo, serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump, following Ichigo Kurosaki, a teenager who unexpectedly gains the powers of a Soul Reaper and is drawn into the conflicts of Soul Society — the realm where departed souls gather. The TV anime launched in October 2004, has produced over 360 episodes, and spawned four feature-length animated films. The final TV anime series, BLEACH: Thousand-Year Blood War, began airing in October 2022 and won widespread praise for its stunning animation and anime-original scenes. The very last cour, BLEACH: Thousand-Year Blood War – The Conflict, is scheduled to premiere on July 25, 2026 at 23:00 JST.
Three New Shinigami by Tite Kubo
The three newly revealed characters are:
- Jurina Naru (珠輪那 生) — voiced by Izumi Fuka
- Handou Giro (半藤 ギロ) — voiced by Batori Katsуgo
- Tokishima Maiko (時島 まいこ) — voiced by Shinohara Yuu
All three were designed personally by Tite Kubo, making them a major draw for fans of the franchise.
Gameplay and Battle System
The System Trailer reveals that the game’s narrative continues directly from the Thousand-Year Blood War arc, and features newly drawn still illustrations created exclusively for the game. Players can choose their protagonist, customize their character’s appearance, and even change their name. Zanpakuto (Soul Reaper swords) can also be freely customized, allowing players to craft a blade that is uniquely their own as they carve out their own story as a shinigami.
The battle system is designed for single-finger touch controls, blending speed and strategy into a stylish experience. Players form a team of three characters and combine cards to unleash a wide variety of attacks.
Highlights also include each character’s powerful special moves and a three-person combination technique called “Soul Drive”, promising flashy, exhilarating battles throughout the game.
