TV anime Blue Lock is returning to Sunshine City Prince Hotel for its fourth collaboration event, scheduled from 29 August to 28 November 2026. The theme this time is “Striker’s Rest” (ストライカーの休息), imagining eight of the series’ star players in rare moments of relaxation away from the pitch.
About Blue Lock
Blue Lock is a soccer manga that won the 45th Kodansha Manga Award in the shōnen category. The story is written by Muneyuki Kaneshiro and illustrated by Yusuke Nomura, and it continues to run in Weekly Shonen Magazine. The series follows 300 high-school forwards recruited into the Japan Football Union’s radical “Blue Lock” project, where they compete in a brutal survival selection to produce the world’s greatest striker.
The TV anime first aired in October 2022 across two consecutive cours, followed by the theatrical film Blue Lock the Movie -Episode Nagi- in April 2024. A 14-episode second season aired from October 2024, and a continuation of the TV series was announced at the “Blue Lock Egoist Festa 2025” event in September 2025.
Event Highlights
The collaboration takes place across the entire IKEPRI25 floor of the hotel, with immersive decorations extending from the elevator hall to the guest-room corridors. Key attractions include:
- Newly drawn illustrations featuring eight characters — Yoichi Isagi, Hyoma Chigiri, Reo Mikage, Seishiro Nagi, Rin Itoshi, Sae Itoshi, Yo Hiori, and Meguru Bachira — depicted enjoying downtime away from training and matches. New mini-character illustrations will also be unveiled.
- Six concept rooms pairing the eight characters, each decorated to reflect the “Striker’s Rest” world, with exclusive take-home goods for overnight guests.
- Four concept lounges: Relax Room, Garden Room, Study Room, and Capsule Toy Room — the last of which will also sell capsule toys.
- Eight collaboration drinks (¥1,600 each) at Café & Dining Chef’s Palette on the hotel’s 1st floor, each inspired by a character’s signature color and bundled with a special bonus item. No hotel stay is required to order the drinks.
