The special event held Sunday for the second season of the Chained Soldier (Mato Seihei no Slave) TV anime officially announced that a third season is in development. The announcement came alongside a reveal video and a new promotional visual. Character designer Keiya Nakano, who worked on the second season, also drew a special illustration to mark the occasion.

Staff & Studios
The second season brought an entirely new staff and studio lineup. Masafumi Tamura — known for The World’s Finest Assassin, Ange Vierge, and Wise Man’s Grandchild — directed the season at Passione and Hayabusa Film. Keiya Nakano, whose credits include AOKANA: Four Rhythm Across the Blue, Loner Life in Another World, and Keijo!!!!!!!!, handled character design.
The first season aired in Japan in January 2024 on AT-X, Tokyo MX, BS Asahi, and MBS. Junji Nishimura (Ranma ½) served as general director, while Gorō Kuji directed at studio Seven Arcs. Kohta Yamamoto (Attack on Titan The Final Season) composed the music. HIDIVE streamed the season with both subtitles and an English dub.
Story
Chained Soldier is a battle fantasy set in a world where a demonic gate has unleashed monsters called Shūki. A mystical peach tree grants special powers — but only to women. The story follows Yūki Wakura, an unlucky young man who crosses paths with Uzen Kyōka, a peach-powered girl who leads the 7th Anti-Demon Squad.
Source Manga
The manga is written by Takahiro (Akame ga KILL!) and illustrated by Yōhei Takemura. It has been serialized on Shueisha’s Shonen Jump+ platform since January 2019. Yen Press publishes the English edition.
