The production team behind fall 2026 anime Chōjun! Chōjō Senpai (超巡！超条先輩) has released the synopsis and a set of preview scene cuts for Episode 1, titled “Psychic Police Corporal (超能力巡査長),” ahead of its premiere on Tuesday, October 6, 2026.
About the Series
The anime is based on the manga by Numa Shun, which ran in Weekly Shōnen Jump from February 2024 to June 2025. The story is a supernatural police comedy centered on an unlikely duo tasked with keeping the peace in Shinjuku’s Kabukichō — one of Japan’s most lively entertainment districts.
Episode 1 Synopsis
Rookie officer Ippongi Nao finds herself reassigned to a dead-end police box on the outskirts of the precinct. There she is paired with Chōjō Meguru, a criminal investigation specialist who wields an arsenal of psychic abilities — mind-reading, clairvoyance, telepathy, and more — yet is despised by the locals. Together, this “strongest (?) buddy duo” must protect the neighborhood’s fragile peace.
Ippongi brings her own formidable skills to the partnership: a black belt in judo and superhuman strength that has earned her the nickname “Gorilla.” Whether their wildly mismatched talents will be enough to keep Kabukichō in order remains to be seen.
