The staff of Clevatess II -Maju no O to Itsuwari no Yusha Densho-, the second season of the anime based on Yuji Iwahara‘s manga, has released the third promotional video, announced two additional cast members, and confirmed that the season will officially debut on July 8.

Promo Video and Theme Songs

The latest promotional video reveals and previews the opening theme “Foreshadow”, performed by Mayu Maeshima. The ending theme is titled “Awake Anew” and is performed by MYTH & ROID.

Keigo Koyanagi, known for Brave Bang Bravern! and The Rising of The Shield Hero, handles series scripts, while Souichirou Sako, known for Buddy Daddies and Magi: Adventure of Sinbad, handles character design and serves as chief animation director. Natsuko Kondou joins as sub-character designer and chief animation director, and Nobuaki Nobusawa, known for Mr. Villain’s Day Off and Steins;Gate 0, returns to compose the music.

Broadcast and Streaming

The second season will begin streaming in Japan on d Anime Store, U-NEXT, and Anime Hodai on July 8 at 10:00 p.m. Japan time. It will then air on Tokyo MX at 10:30 p.m. the same night.

About the Original Manga

The manga Clevatess -Maju no O to Akago to Shikabane no Yusha- is by Yuji Iwahara, known for character design on Darker than Black and as the creator of King of Thorn and Dimension W. It began serialization on the LINE Manga app in August 2020, and Kadokawa began publishing it on the Comic Alive+ website in April 2024. Yen Press has licensed the English edition and will release the first compiled volume on August 25.

The story follows Clevatess, a Beast King with power and intelligence beyond humanity. After being defeated by 13 heroes, he vows to wipe out humankind, only to be burdened with an unexpected responsibility: a newborn human baby. Is this an omen of disaster, or the beginning of a new age?
