PREMICO has unveiled a new line of premium long wallets under the “Detective Conan 浅草文庫® Long Wallet” collection, produced in collaboration with master craftsmen at Asakusa Bunko®. The lineup consists of three models — Edogawa Conan, Haibara Ai, and Kaitou Kid — and is now available to order through the PREMICO Online Shop.
Craftsmanship Rooted in Tradition
Each wallet is crafted from lustrous white cowhide leather sourced from the Banshu region of Japan. The intricate patterns are applied using kata-yuzen, a high-level dyeing technique that builds up colour layer by layer, creating beautifully three-dimensional motifs. A protective coating guards against stains, ensuring the wallets remain beautiful with daily use.
Three Models, Three Characters
Edogawa Conan Model
A crisp blue-grey palette contrasts elegantly against the white leather. Tortoiseshell (kikkō) patterns conceal motifs of the iconic bow-tie voice changer and keyholes, while diamond (hishi) patterns feature the aiming sight of the wristwatch tranquiliser gun and Conan’s face icon — a treasure trove of the detective’s signature gadgets.
Haibara Ai Model
A deep, mysterious purple captures Haibara’s enigmatic personality. The design is scattered with chemical symbols and the pivotal poison “APTX4869”, reflecting her identity as a scientist. Ginkgo leaf (ichō) motifs inspired by the Fusae brand she favours add a personal touch to this original design.
Kaitou Kid Model
Pure white leather evokes Kid’s trademark white tuxedo. Blue linework brings to life motifs of a top hat, monocle, jewels, playing cards, doves, and Kid’s face icon — a cool, character-defining pattern that fans will instantly recognise.
