To celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Evangelion franchise, six new capsule toy keychains based on Neon Genesis Evangelion have been announced for simultaneous release.
About the Evangelion Series
The Evangelion franchise began with the 1995 TV anime Neon Genesis Evangelion, following young pilots who operate humanoid weapons called Evangelions in battle against mysterious beings known as Angels. The series was later revisited through the Rebuild of Evangelion film tetralogy starting in 2007, which concluded with Evangelion: 3.0+1.0 Thrice Upon a Time in 2021.
New Capsule Toy Lineup
The new lineup consists of three keychain series, each available in two variants (01/02), for a total of six items:
- OP Cut Acrylic Keychain 01/02 — Acrylic keychains featuring opening-sequence artwork framed in a retro CRT television motif. Priced at ¥400 each (tax included); comes with an umbrella marker accessory.
- Subtitle Metal Keychain 01/02 — Sturdy metal keychains engraved with the series’ iconic episode subtitles. Priced at ¥500 each (tax included).
- Dialogue Rubber Keychain 01/02 — 10 cm rubber keychains printed with memorable lines from the series, including “Anta baka?” (“Are you stupid?”) and “Activation probability: 0.000000001%.” Priced at ¥400 each (tax included).
Release Details
All six keychains will be released in August and September 2026. Good Smile Company serves as the distributor, with Juurokuhoi handling manufacturing and sales.
