It has been officially announced that 「EVANGELION:30+；30th ANNIVERSARY OF EVANGELION」 — the first-ever 30th anniversary festival for the Evangelion franchise — will be released as a 4-disc Blu-ray BOX on February 24, 2027, priced at ¥27,500 (tax included).
A Legacy Three Decades in the Making
The Evangelion series began with the 1995 TV anime Neon Genesis Evangelion and was relaunched in 2007 as the Rebuild of Evangelion theatrical film series, written and directed by Hideaki Anno. Following Evangelion: 1.0, 2.0, and 3.0, the saga concluded in 2021 with Shin Evangelion Theatrical Version, which grossed over ¥10.28 billion and drew 6.73 million admissions.
