COSPA has opened pre-orders for a new merchandise lineup inspired by the iconic anime series Neon Genesis Evangelion (新世紀エヴァンゲリオン), featuring T-shirts, traditional Japanese jinbei garments, a glass beer mug, and fabric keychains. All items are scheduled for release in early October 2026.

About the Series

Neon Genesis Evangelion is a landmark sci-fi mecha anime following teenagers chosen to pilot giant biomechanical weapons called Evangelions to fight mysterious beings known as Angels (使徒). Celebrated for its deep psychological storytelling and complex characters, the franchise has spawned a TV series, classic theatrical films, and the concluding Shin Evangelion Theatrical Version. In February 2026, a 30th-anniversary festival event announced that a brand-new series is currently in production.

Three New T-Shirts

The collection includes three T-shirt designs, each using a durable 5.6 oz tubular fabric with excellent breathability and moisture management. The seamless side construction resists twisting after washing, and double-stitched collar and cuffs ensure long-lasting wear.

• All Angels T-Shirt — Features designs of Angels 1 through 17, with the number “18” at the neckline. Available in BLACK and SAND KHAKI.
• NERV Tactical Operations, Operations Bureau Section 1 T-Shirt — Styled after the uniform supplies of Misato Katsuragi’s tactical division. Available in BLACK and MOSS.
• “Anta Baka?” (あんたバカぁ？) T-Shirt — Emblazoned with Asuka Langley’s iconic catchphrase. Available in WHITE and SUMI.

NERV & Evangelion Jinbei

Two jinbei (甚平) sets — one in a NERV design and one in an Evangelion design — are also available. Made using the traditional shijira-ori (しじら織り) weaving technique, which creates a subtly textured surface that keeps the fabric from clinging to skin and promotes airflow. Each set features one jacket pocket and two trouser pockets, with an elastic drawstring waist to accommodate a range of body types. Suitable as loungewear or casual summer outerwear.

Misato Katsuragi Beer Mug

A standout item for fans is the Misato Katsuragi glass beer mug, printed with her beloved line: “やっぱ人生この時のために生きてるようなもんよね。” (“This is really what life is all about, isn’t it.”). The glass holds 350 ml and is dishwasher-safe, complying with Japan’s updated Food Sanitation Act.

Graphic Tag Keychains

Rounding out the lineup are full-color printed Graphic Tag Keychains made from thick polyester fabric with overlock-stitched edges for durability. Each comes with two types of hardware fittings for attaching to bags or belt loops. Five character variants are available: Shinji Ikari, Rei Ayanami, Shikinami Asuka Langley, Kaworu Nagisa, and Mari Makinami Illustrious.
