Rin Suzukawa, the manga artist behind Asobi Asobase and Outsider Paradise, has launched a brand-new series. Volume 1 of Galaxy Pūchan: Uchū no Hashikko de Konnichiwa (ギャラクシーぷーちゃん 宇宙のはじっこでこんにちは) went on sale on July 17, 2026, published by Shogakukan.
Story
The series is a full-color absurdist sci-fi roommate comedy. The story centers on Morita, a manga artist suffering from a creative block who heads out alone into the mountains in the middle of the night hoping to find inspiration. Frustrated and out of ideas, she half-jokingly wishes a spaceship would just fall out of the sky — and then one actually does.
The crash brings two alien sisters, Yūrin and Pūchan, into Morita’s life, and the chaotic cohabitation between the human manga artist and her extraterrestrial housemates begins.
