The anime film Kitaro Tanjo: Gegege no Nazo (鬼太郎誕生 ゲゲゲの謎), based on the original work by Mizuki Shigeru, is collaborating with the popular Japanese spa chain Gokurakuyu·RAKU SPA for a special campaign titled “Gegege no Yu” (ゲゲゲの湯). The event runs from Thursday, June 18 to Tuesday, July 7, 2026, at 16 locations across the Gokurakuyu·RAKU SPA group, including RAKU CAFE Ikebukuro and Shinsaibashi.
Campaign Highlights
Collaboration Baths and Themed Menus
Visitors can enjoy specially designed collaboration baths inspired by the world of Gegege no Nazo, as well as themed food and drink menus evoking characters such as Kitaro’s Father (鬼太郎の父) and Mizuki (水木).
Exclusive New Artwork and Merchandise
The campaign features newly drawn illustrations (描き下ろしビジュアル) depicting Kitaro’s Father and Mizuki in post-bath attire. These visuals will be used on exclusive merchandise sold at participating locations.
As a purchase bonus, customers who spend 2,000 yen (tax included) or more will receive one senjafuda-style sticker (千社札風シール) chosen at random from a set of 10 designs.
In-Store Decorations and Special Announcements
Participating locations will be decorated with character panels, nobori banners, tapestries, and scene-cut posters from the film. A standout feature is the original in-store announcement recorded by voice actor Seki Toshihiko (関俊彦), who voices Kitaro’s Father in the film, giving fans a fully immersive experience.
