Synopsis

Douglas was once celebrated as a legendary enhancement spellcaster — but those days are long gone. Now just a weak, ordinary old man, he was cast out of the hero party and ultimately stripped of his adventurer’s license, leaving him to wander the world with no purpose. Everything changes when he crosses paths with Rabi, a young girl carrying a terrible curse, and a brand-new adventure begins.

About the Source Material

Manimani Ononata originally published the story on the user-generated fiction site Shōsetsuka ni Narō in 2017. SB Creative’s GA Novel imprint began releasing the light novel version — with illustrations by Fuzichoco — in August 2018. A manga adaptation by Tadaura launched on Square Enix’s Manga UP! platform in November 2018.
