Fans of the beloved Katamari Damacy (塊魂) series have something to look forward to: Prime 1 Studio has unveiled a brand-new figure line called A-SYMBOL, and its very first entries are the iconic Prince and King. Pre-orders opened on October 22, with both figures slated for release in November 2027.
About Katamari Damacy
Katamari Damacy is an action game series in which players roll an ever-growing sticky ball — the “katamari” — to absorb objects and grow larger. The series is equally celebrated for its infectiously catchy soundtrack. The most recent entry in the franchise is Once Upon a Katamari.
What Is A-SYMBOL?
A-SYMBOL is Prime 1 Studio’s new figure concept designed to serve as a symbolic centerpiece for a collector’s personal space. The Katamari Damacy duo kicks off the line, faithfully incorporating details straight from the game’s world.
Prince Figure
Standing 15 cm tall in total — with the Prince himself at his canonical 5 cm — this figure comes paired with a katamari. The katamari features a built-in magnet, allowing collectors to attach metal objects and included accessories to build their very own custom katamari. The included objects are the Eraser, Soy Sauce Bottle, and Film Roll, all familiar items from the game.
- Head parts: “Normal” and “Whistling” expressions
- Bonus Edition exclusive: “Happy” head part
- A stand part is also included for displaying the Prince on his own
King Figure
The King stands an imposing 50 cm tall. His neck is poseable, allowing left-and-right rotation, and his cape is crafted from real fabric for an authentic look and feel.
- Face parts: “Normal” and “Smile” expressions
- Bonus Edition exclusive: “Eyes Open” face part
- Also includes a Prince head part wearing the “Cool Mask” gifted by the King in the game
