Japanese CS channel Nippon TV Plus (日テレプラス ドラマ・アニメ・音楽ライブ) has announced a special marathon broadcast event titled “KING OF PRISM 10th Anniversary Project — Let’s All Cheer Together!” The event will air a back-to-back lineup of popular titles from the KING OF PRISM theatrical anime series for 8.5 hours straight, running on Sunday, June 21, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
The Series That Sparked a Cheering Culture
Directed and supervised by Masakazu Hishida, KING OF PRISM launched in 2016 with KING OF PRISM by PrettyRhythm and is widely credited with popularizing the “ōen jōei” (cheering screening) format, where audiences shout encouragement and wave glow sticks during the film. The series follows a colorful cast of boys captivated by the “Prism Show” — a grand entertainment spectacle combining singing, dancing, and the signature “Prism Jump” — as they overcome trials and grow in pursuit of becoming the “Prism Star” who makes hearts race the most. The franchise has attracted a cumulative audience of over 1.55 million viewers.
TV Premiere of the Latest Film “Kintsua”
The headline attraction of the marathon is KING OF PRISM -Your Endless Call- Minna Kirameke! Prism☆Tours (commonly known as “Kintsua”), the latest entry in the series that opened in theaters in June 2025 and has continued its long run at venues across Japan ever since. This broadcast will mark the film’s television debut.

Because “Kintsua” was screened in four different routes, Nippon TV Plus is holding a viewer vote — “You Decide! ‘Kintsua’ Broadcast Route Viewer Vote” — to determine which route will air on the day.
