The school romance manga Koise yo Mayakashi Tenshi-domo (恋せよまやかし天使ども) by Coco Uzuki, currently serialized in Kodansha’s Monthly Desert magazine, has officially been announced for a TV anime adaptation in 2027. To celebrate the announcement, original creator Coco Uzuki drew a special illustration featuring the main characters Otogi and Ikkoku (Ichi).
Story
Otogi Katsura is a schoolgirl known for her beauty from her very first day at school. She is chosen as class president, while the vice president is Ichi Ninomae, a handsome boy everyone is talking about.
Behind Otogi’s perfect image, however, lies her true self: a blunt girl who often solves problems with force. She becomes fascinated by Ichi, who appears perfect both inside and out, but she also begins to suspect that he may be hiding another side of himself as well. Their story becomes a captivating game of deception and revealing true identities.
Popularity and Progress
Since beginning serialization in 2023, the manga has grown highly popular, especially thanks to the charm of its “perfect girl x perfect boy” pairing and the gap between each character’s public image and real personality. The series has now surpassed 2.25 million copies in circulation, with volumes 1 through 7 currently on sale.

The Koise yo Mayakashi Tenshi-domo TV anime is scheduled to air in 2027. Official X and Instagram accounts have also opened to share news and future updates.
