Universal Studios Japan (USJ) has announced a new collaboration with the TV anime Kusuriya no Hitorigoto (The Apothecary Diaries), tying in with the upcoming theatrical film Gekijouban Kusuriya no Hitorigoto: Bouki no Hihou, which is set to open in cinemas on December 11.
The collaboration will take place as part of the theme park’s annual Universal Cool Japan 2027 event, running from February 10 to June 30, 2027. It was revealed on October 1 as the second lineup announcement for the event.
This marks the second time Kusuriya no Hitorigoto has partnered with USJ, following a previous collaboration during Universal Cool Japan 2025.
Step into Maomao’s World on the Water
The program is themed around a water city setting, designed to make visitors feel as though protagonist Maomao and her companions have leaped out of the story and into real life. Further details on specific attractions and activities are expected to be announced at a later date.
