The LaLa October 2026 issue (Hakusensha), released on August 24, comes bundled with a special supplementary booklet titled LaLa 50th Anniversary Book Ao (Blue).
Third Anniversary Book, Featuring 28 Artists
The booklet compiles celebratory illustrations and comments from LaLa’s roster of manga artists. It is the third volume in the series, following Anniversary Book Aka (Red), bundled with LaLa’s September issue, and Anniversary Book Shiro (White), bundled with LaLaDX’s September issue.
A total of 28 creators appear in this edition, including Keiko Takemiya, Yumiko Oshima, Toshie Kihara, Minako Narita, and Kiriko Kubo, among many others. The booklet also features a collaboration manga strip by Junko Ike (100-kai Mawatte Ai wo Nake) and Chitose Kaido (Uchi no Manri ga Osewa ni Narimasu).
Special Chapters for Last Game and Vampire Knight
As part of the 50th anniversary celebrations, the issue also includes special chapters of two beloved LaLa series: Last Game by Shinobu Amano and Vampire Knight by Matsuri Hino.
9th Anniversary Roundtable and Celebrity Messages
The issue hosts the 9th installment of the 50th anniversary roundtable discussion, featuring Shinobu Amano and Mikase Hayashi as guests.
Continuing from the previous issue, a wide range of public figures who love LaLa have contributed celebratory messages, including voice actors Kaito Ishikawa, Yuichiro Umehara, and Saori Hayami; TV personality Misato Ugaki; comedian Okarina; Minami Takahashi; Nagisa Trout; Hiroki Nanami; VTuber Ichihyakumantenbara Salome; essayist Kaho Miyake; novelist Sayaka Murata; manga artist Suu Morishita; Mika Yamamori; and the JR Tokai “Oshi-Tabi” collaboration representative.
