Figure brand Arcadia has announced a 1/7 scale finished figure of Lynn Minmay from the theatrical film Macross: Do You Remember Love?, in a special Chōjiku Kangen ver. (超時空管弦楽 ver.) edition. Major hobby retailer Amiami has begun carrying product information for the item.
About the Macross Franchise and the Film
The Macross franchise launched with the 1982 TV series Super Dimension Fortress Macross and has since expanded across TV anime, OVAs, and theatrical films, now celebrating its 40th anniversary. The series is defined by three signature elements: iconic songs, transforming “Valkyrie” mecha combat, and love-triangle drama.
Macross: Do You Remember Love? is a theatrical reimagining of that original series. Its climactic mecha battle sequence, set to Minmay’s legendary performance of “Do You Remember Love?”, remains one of the most celebrated scenes in anime history.
Design Origin: The 2017 Chōjiku Kangen Concert
The figure is based on the key visual for the “Chōjiku Kangen” orchestra concert, held in September 2017 to mark the 35th anniversary of Macross. Minmay’s pose and costume from that artwork have been faithfully rendered in 1/7 scale.
Craftsmanship and Materials
Considerable attention has gone into the figure’s finish. Minmay’s hair is painted in pearl paint to replicate the gradient of the key visual, with clear parts used at the tips to convey translucency. Her dress features a white pearl coating, and the stole is likewise rendered in clear parts to preserve the elegance of the original illustration.
The base is made of acrylic printed with the Unified Forces emblem (統合軍マーク). The set includes:
