A brand-new merchandise line for the TV anime Magic Knight Rayearth (魔法騎士レイアース) has been announced, featuring all-new original illustrations drawn exclusively for the collection. Pre-orders are now open via Charalog (キャラログ) and anime retailers and e-commerce sites across Japan.
A Legendary CLAMP Title Returns as a Remake
Magic Knight Rayearth is one of the signature works of the acclaimed creative collective CLAMP, originally serialized in Kodansha’s Nakayoshi magazine. The story follows three middle-school girls swept into the fantasy world of Cephiro. More than 30 years after the original TV anime aired from 1994 to 1995, a remake series launched on October 7, 2026.
Story
During a school field trip to Tokyo Tower, eighth-graders Hikaru Shidou, Umi Ryuuzaki, and Fuu Hououji are suddenly summoned to the otherworld of Cephiro. To rescue Princess Emeraude — who has long protected Cephiro’s peace through the power of prayer — the three must become the legendary Magic Knights and face a series of brutal battles.
The remake is directed by Yui Miura and produced by E&H Production. The cast includes:
- Hikaru Shidou — voiced by Ayane Sakura
- Umi Ryuuzaki — voiced by Rumi Okubo
- Fuu Hououji — voiced by Rie Takahashi
- Princess Emeraude — voiced by Saori Hayami
- Zagato — voiced by Tomoki Ono
