Japanese fashion brand MAYLA — known for its tagline “raise your body temperature by 2°C” — has released a new collaboration item with the long-running anime Detective Conan (Meitantei Conan). The product, titled “Detective Conan Iconique Story Ring Objet”, is a set of six character-image rings now available on MAYLA’s official e-commerce site at a 20% discount.
About Detective Conan
Detective Conan is a mystery manga by Gosho Aoyama, serialised in Weekly Shōnen Sunday since 1994. The story follows high-school detective Kudō Shinichi, who is forced to drink a mysterious poison by a shadowy organisation and shrinks into the body of a child. Adopting the alias Edogawa Conan, he works to uncover the organisation’s identity while solving cases alongside his friends. The manga has surpassed 107 volumes and 270 million copies in worldwide circulation. The TV anime, which began airing in 1996, is approaching its 1,200th episode.
The franchise’s 29th theatrical film, Detective Conan: The Angel of the Highway (Meitantei Conan: Highway no Datenshi), is set for release on 10 April 2026, promising high-octane action set in Yokohama, with characters including Hagiwara Chihaya, Sera Masumi, Yokomizo Jūgo, Hagiwara Kenji, and Matsuda Jinpei.
Ring Designs
The set includes six rings that can be mixed and matched freely. Open-design rings are adjustable in size.
- Edogawa Conan — Features Conan’s iconic red bow tie and blue jacket. A tranquilliser-gun charm dangles from the ring, evoking his razor-sharp deductive mind.
- Kudō Shinichi — Inspired by the “Knight in Black” costume Shinichi wore in the series. The silhouette recalls a mask and collar line, accented by a deep-blue shimmer that conveys nobility.
- Mōri Ran — Based on the tiara Ran wore in the Shuffle Romance episode. Soft pink stones glow gently, reminiscent of her warm smile.
- Hattori Heiji — Deep green stones in Heiji’s signature colour symbolise his keen investigative eye and passion. The overall form is modelled on the handcuffs that hold a special memory between him and Toyama Kazuha.
- Toyama Kazuha — Also inspired by those same memorable handcuffs, this ring is adorned with Kazuha’s hair ribbon for a charming, feminine look.
- Kaitou Kid — An elegant design evoking Kid’s white ensemble. A silver rose and the number 1412 represent his aesthetic and air of mystery, while a monocle chain and a gleaming playing card from his calling card complete the look.
