The production team behind the Mission: Yozakura Family (Yozakura-san Chi no Daisakusen) anime, based on Hitsuji Gondaira‘s manga, released a new promotional video on Friday unveiling five new voice cast members for Season 2 Part 2.
New Cast Members

- Sumire Uesaka as Dr. Mozu
- Naomi Shindoh as Hulang
The announcement also introduced the character Kosmos Akizakura, though no voice actor has been announced for the role yet.
Premiere Date
Season 2 Part 2 is set to premiere on October 11 on MBS, TBS, and 26 other affiliated channels at 5:00 p.m. JST (4:00 a.m. EDT).
Story
High school student Taiyou Asano has struggled socially ever since losing his family in a car accident. His only real connection is his childhood friend Mutsumi Yozakura, who leads the world’s most powerful spy family. Mutsumi’s overprotective eldest brother, Kyouichirou Yozakura, sets his lethal sights on Taiyou — forcing him to marry Mutsumi and join the Yozakura family to survive. Now thrust into the world of espionage, Taiyou works to become a formidable spy while uncovering dark secrets from his past and the Yozakura family’s history.
Staff
For the current season, Mirai Minato serves as chief director at SILVER LINK and continues overseeing the series scripts. Takahiro Nakatsugawa, a storyboard artist and episode director on the first season, steps up as series director. Returning staff includes character designer Mizuki Takahashi, composer Kōji Fujimoto, and sound director Tōru Kanegae.
Background
Season 2 began airing on April 12 on MBS, TBS, and 26 affiliated channels in the Sunday “Nichigo” programming block. Its first part concluded with the series’ overall 39th episode on June 28. Season 1 premiered in Japan in April 2024; the anime streams on Hulu in the United States with an English dub, and on Prime Video and Netflix in Japan.
Gondaira — also known for Demon Prince Poro’s Diaries — launched the manga in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump in August 2019. The series concluded in January 2025, with the 29th and final compiled volume released in March 2025. Viz Media has published the manga in English digitally since its Japanese debut and in print since October 2022; it is also available on Shueisha’s MANGA Plus service.
