The production team behind the Mission: Yozakura Family (Yozakura-san Chi no Daisakusen) anime, based on the manga by Hitsuji Gondaira, announced on Sunday that the second season will continue with its second cour in October. A teaser trailer has also been released alongside the announcement.
Season 2 Broadcast Details
The second season launched on April 12 on MBS, TBS, and 26 affiliated channels as part of the Sunday “Nichigo” programming block, airing at 5:00 p.m. JST. The season is also available to stream on Hulu.
Staff
Mirai Minato serves as chief director at SILVER LINK and is again overseeing the series scripts. Takahiro Nakatsugawa, who worked as a storyboard artist and episode director on the first season, steps up as the series director this time around. Returning crew members include character designer Mizuki Takahashi, composer Kōji Fujimoto, and sound director Tōru Kanegae.

Story
High school student Taiyou Asano has struggled to connect with others ever since losing his family in a car accident. His childhood friend Mutsumi Yozakura—head of the world’s most powerful spy family—is the only person he can truly open up to. However, Mutsumi’s fiercely overprotective eldest brother, Kyouichirou Yozakura, who once left her gravely injured, has now set his sights on Taiyou. About the Manga
Gondaira, also known for Demon Prince Poro’s Diaries, launched the manga in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump in August 2019. The series concluded in January 2025, and Shueisha released the 29th and final compiled volume in March 2025.
Viz Media has been publishing the English digital edition simultaneously with Japan since launch, with digital volumes beginning in December 2020 and physical volumes starting from October 2022. The manga is also available for free in English via Shueisha’s MANGA Plus service. The franchise additionally includes several novels.
