The live-action drama series “S to X”, adapted from the manga by Motoo Tada, launched exclusively on Netflix worldwide today, August 20, 2026. To mark the occasion, an opening scene clip and a character relationship chart have been released.
Story and Main Character
The series centers on Shimotori Ichito, a sex therapist who compassionately helps clients navigate a wide range of intimate issues — including sexless relationships, erectile dysfunction, infidelity, sexual trauma, and menopause. The role is played by Kento Nakajima.
Opening Scene Clip
The released clip opens with Shimotori’s quiet resolve to confront sexual issues head-on. His composure is quickly tested, however, when an unexpected mishap on a crowded commuter platform sends his therapy and research materials scattering across the floor. Surrounded by cold stares, he frantically gathers everything up before finally arriving at his clinic, where nurse Saigawa and receptionist Natsume welcome him back.

- Ichinose Yumi — A news announcer who was Shimotori’s first love in middle school; a chance reunion rekindles those old feelings. Played by Yuko Araki.
- Kazuma Shun — A senior main anchor and Yumi’s superior. Played by Ao Nakamura.
- Kono Mirai — A junior caster. Played by Rinka Kumada.
- Kase Shion — A gynecologist who serves as Shimotori’s confidante. Played by Sayaka Yamaguchi.
