The organizers of Otakon 2026 announced on Sunday that voice actress Ayaka Fukuhara and Maki Terashima-Furuta, president of Production I.G USA, will both appear as guests at this year’s convention.
Ayaka Fukuhara
Fukuhara is best known to anime fans for voicing Rin Shibuya in The IDOLM@STER Cinderella Girls. Her extensive credits also include Sayaka Igarashi in Kakegurui, Bismarck in Azur Lane, Oga in Plus-Sized Elf, and roles in Captain Tsubasa and Sakura Wars.
Maki Terashima-Furuta
A veteran producer in the anime industry, Terashima-Furuta’s producing credits include FLCL Alternative, Love Hina, and Uzumaki, among others.

Fan Art Ban in Dealers Room
In a separate announcement made in January, Otakon confirmed it will no longer permit the sale of fan art in its dealers room starting with the 2026 event. Dealers wishing to sell fan art may instead apply for a spot in the artist alley without penalty.
Event Details
Otakon 2026 is scheduled to run from July 31 to August 2, 2026, at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, D.C.
