Union Creative has unveiled a new figure celebrating a decade of the Overlord novel series: Ainz Ooal Gown 10th Anniversary so-bin ver., scheduled for release in June 2027 and priced at ¥48,950 (tax included).
Background
Overlord, based on the fantasy light novel series by Maruyama Kugane, began its TV anime run in 2015 and has since spanned four seasons. Most recently, the theatrical film Overlord: The Sacred Kingdom opened in September 2024. The new figure was born from the novel’s 10th-anniversary project, with series illustrator so-bin creating an exclusive commemorative illustration that has now been brought to life in three dimensions.
Figure Details
The statue faithfully captures Ainz Ooal Gown, the supreme ruler of Nazarick, in all his imposing glory. Every element of so-bin’s illustration has been meticulously sculpted — from the flowing lines of his robes and the sinister yet mystical color palette to the guild weapon, the Staff of Ainz Ooal Gown. A special effect piece at the base enhances the sense of overwhelming, silent authority that defines the character.
The figure stands approximately 340 mm tall overall (approximately 320 mm from base to crown), delivering a substantial presence worthy of the anniversary it commemorates.
