The TV anime Pan Dorobou has unveiled preview images from its first episode alongside a creditless opening (OP) video, giving fans an early taste of the series before its broadcast debut.
About the Series
Based on the picture book by Keiko Shibata and published by KADOKAWA, Pan Dorobou follows a master thief with an obsessive love of bread, surrounded by a cast of surreal and charming characters.
Episode 1 Preview Highlights
The preview images from Episode 1 show the bread-loving thief daydreaming about all manner of breads, as well as a shot of him hauling his stolen loaves on his back.
Creditless Opening Video
The creditless OP video plays out to the rap-style opening theme 「パンどろぼうのうた」, featuring the bread thief and a parade of bread characters making their appearances one after another. A standout moment is the thief’s hilariously sour expression upon tasting bread he finds unpleasant.
「パンどろぼうのうた」 will be available on digital streaming platforms from October 3 at midnight, ahead of its physical CD release on October 28.
