Pocket Monsters (Pokémon) is once again partnering with B-R Baskin-Robbins 31 Ice Cream for the beloved annual “31 Poké Summer! (31ポケ夏！)” campaign, running from 1 August (Saturday) to 31 August (Monday) 2026. This year’s collaboration is especially significant as it coincides with the 30th anniversary of Pocket Monsters Red & Green, the Game Boy titles that launched the global franchise in 1996.

New August Flavor: “Pikachu’s Volt Tackle ~Pine Squash~”

The star of this year’s lineup is a brand-new flavor, “Pikachu no Volt Tackle ~Pine Squash~” (ピカチュウのボルテッカー ～パインスカッシュ～), inspired by Pikachu’s signature Electric-type move. It combines a yellow pineapple-flavored sorbet representing Pikachu itself with a white cider-flavored sorbet evoking the crackling electricity of Volt Tackle. The sweet-and-tart combination delivers a refreshing, pine squash-like taste perfect for summer.

A standout feature is the red popping candy, designed to evoke Pikachu’s cheeks and electric sparks — this year increased by 31% for an even more exciting pop-in-your-mouth experience.

Pokémon Double Cup + 30 Collectible Stickers

The popular Pokémon Double Cup returns, available in three designs based on type — Grass, Fire, and Water — each featuring Pikachu alongside the Starter Pokémon from all nine regions. Familiar faces like Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle from Kanto appear alongside newer starters such as Sprigatito, Fuecoco, and Quaxly from Paldea.

Each Double Cup purchase comes with one special Sundae Spoon (randomly selected from Pikachu and the Kanto starters), plus one die-cut Special Pokémon Sticker chosen at random from a set of 30 designs — created to celebrate the 30th anniversary and featuring Pikachu, Eevee, Mew, and Starter Pokémon from all nine regions.

Monster Ball Sundae — New This Year!

A brand-new addition to the menu, the Monster Ball Sundae is served in a Poké Ball-shaped cup and topped with whipped cream, color sprinkles, and a large Pikachu chocolate piece. A randomly selected pick featuring either Bulbasaur, Charmander, or Squirtle is included. Customers can choose any one scoop of ice cream, and the collectible cup can be repurposed as a small storage container after eating.

Metamon Crash Soda — A Color-Changing Drink

The “Metamon Crash Soda” (メタモン クラッシュソーダ) puts the shape-shifting Ditto (Metamon) in the spotlight. Red grape-flavored syrup and blue pineapple-flavored syrup swirl together to create a purple hue reminiscent of Metamon, with grape-flavored jelly adding a fun, bouncy texture. The drink is served in a clear Metamon-designed cup, complete with a Metamon clear pick on the stirring spoon.

A new addition to the palette cake lineup, Pokémon Palette 6 features 8 popular flavors topped with colorful whipped cream and chocolate pieces shaped like Pikachu, Eevee, Lucario, Metamon (Ditto), Lizardon (Charizard), and Nymphia (Sylveon). The wrapping film and base card also feature Pokémon designs worth keeping. Available from 1 August as a year-round item.
