About the Series

The first season aired from July 2024 on TBS and 28 other channels, running for 12 episodes. Crunchyroll streamed the series simultaneously. The manga by ANGYAMAN was first posted on Shueisha’s Jump Rookie! website in November 2021, before Shonen Jump+ picked it up for serialization in March 2022, with regular weekly chapters beginning that October. An English version is available via the MANGA Plus service.

The story follows Tamako, who lands an interview at a ramen shop staffed entirely by cats. When the feline manager asks if she likes cats, Tamako honestly admits she’s more of a dog person — and is hired on the spot anyway. The twist: her job turns out to be not serving ramen, but looking after the cats themselves.
