The production team behind summer anime Reiwa no Dara-san (令和のダラさん) has released the synopsis and preview cuts for Episode 3, “Kinsokkchi no Okite” (The Rules of the Forbidden Land), set to air on Thursday, July 16, 2026, on TOKYO MX and other channels.
About the Series
Based on the manga by Tomotsuka Haruomi, serialized on KadoKomi and Niconico Manga, Reiwa no Dara-san is a fresh occult comedy born of the Reiwa era. The series is directed by Suzuki Michito and animated by Asahi Production.
The story begins when siblings Hinata and Kaoru of the Misogitani family — who have guarded a forbidden mountain for generations — sneak into the prohibited land on a stormy night. There they encounter Yamatagimadara, a cursed serpent deity, but rather than flee in terror, they cheerfully nickname it “Dara-san” and immediately take a liking to it. The bewildered deity, burdened by a sorrowful past, soon finds itself playing straight man to the fearless siblings in a noisy yet heartwarming series of misadventures.
Episode 3 Synopsis — “The Rules of the Forbidden Land”
Hinata and Kaoru pay their usual visit to Dara-san, and Kaoru presents it with a miko (shrine maiden) outfit that Fudeki made. Dara-san is left utterly flustered by the unexpectedly high quality of the garment. Meanwhile, two groups of uninvited visitors step foot into the forbidden land…

The series began airing on Thursday, July 2, 2026. Broadcast slots are as follows:
