Season 3 Recap
Season 3 was split into two arcs: the “Shūgeki-hen” (Attack Arc), which premiered in October 2024 on TOKYO MX, AT-X, and other channels with a 90-minute special episode, and the “Hangeki-hen” (Counterattack Arc), which followed in February 2025. Each arc comprised eight episodes, with Crunchyroll streaming both simultaneously with Japan.
Franchise History
Based on Tappei Nagatsuki‘s light novel series, the first 25-episode anime season premiered in April 2016. Season 2 aired from July 2020 — delayed from April 2020 due to COVID-19 — with its second half premiering in January 2021. The franchise also includes two OVAs, Memory Snow and The Frozen Bond, as well as a Director’s Cut of Season 1 that debuted in January 2020, adding new footage and reformatting episodes for an hour-long timeslot. Crunchyroll streams all of the above.
