Bandai has opened pre-orders for S.H.Figuarts Son Goku “Return to Earth” (S.H.Figuarts 孫悟空〈地球への帰還〉) via its official Premium Bandai online store. The figure is priced at ¥8,800 (tax included), with pre-orders beginning on October 9, 2026 at 1:00 PM JST and shipment scheduled for June 2027.
A Franchise That Spans Generations
Created by Akira Toriyama, Dragon Ball began serialization in Weekly Shonen Jump in 1984 and was adapted into anime in 1986. The franchise expanded through Dragon Ball Z, Dragon Ball GT, Dragon Ball Kai, and Dragon Ball Super, earning a devoted global fanbase over the decades. The 2022 film Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero topped the box office in both Japan and the United States in its opening weekend. The 20-episode original series Dragon Ball DAIMA — with story, original concept, and character designs by Toriyama — began airing in October 2024, and a new TV anime, Dragon Ball Super: Beerus, is set to premiere on Fuji TV in autumn 2026.
Figure Highlights
This figure captures Goku as he appears after completing his training on Planet Yardrat and returning to Earth. The standout feature is a set of newly sculpted Super Saiyan head and facial expression parts, allowing fans to recreate Goku’s powered-up look in full. Comedic expression parts inspired by Goku’s lighthearted conversations with Trunks and his companions are also included.
The shoulders feature Bandai’s Dynamic-Movable Shoulder System (Japanese patent pending), providing an exceptionally wide and flexible range of motion for dynamic action poses. The figure is also compatible with S.H.Figuarts Son Goku “The Gentle-Hearted Saiyan” and S.H.Figuarts Super Saiyan Son Goku “The Opening of the Decisive Battle”, making it a great addition to any existing collection.
