The official website for the television anime adaptation of Shiotaiō no Satō-san ga Ore ni Dake Amai (The Salty Koharu Has a Soft Spot for Me), the light novel series written by Kazami Sawatari with illustrations by Achiki, has revealed the anime’s second key visual, main promotional video, theme song artists, and premiere date all at once.
Premiere & Broadcast
The anime will make its debut on AT-X on October 6 at 8:30 p.m. JST, followed later that evening by broadcasts on Tokyo MX, BS-TBS, and WOWOW, as well as CBC and MBS. In Japan, the series will also stream on d Anime Store and U-NEXT beginning October 6 at 10:30 p.m. JST.

Synopsis
The coming-of-age romantic comedy centers on a first love between two people who each harbor unrequited feelings for the other without realizing it. Sōta Oshio, who works part-time at a café, discovers one day that his classmate Koharu Satō — known around school as the cold and unapproachable “Satō-san” — is actually just shy and awkward. From that moment on, the distance between the two begins to close rapidly.

Shogakukan’s Gagaga Bunko imprint has been publishing the light novel series since 2019; the 13th volume is scheduled to ship on October 16. A manga adaptation by Kaya Tetsuyama has been running on the Manga ONE and Ura Sunday platforms since May 2020, with the 11th compiled volume due from Shogakukan on October 9.
