Gundam-inspired apparel brand STRICT-G has announced the STRICT-G Gundam Series Check Shirt, a new collection of plaid shirts featuring bold embroidered emblems drawn from across the Gundam franchise. Each shirt is priced at ¥12,100.
About the Gundam Series
The Gundam franchise began with Mobile Suit Gundam in 1979 and has grown over more than 45 years to encompass TV series, theatrical films, and OVAs. Known for its layered portrayal of war, politics, and human drama set against Mobile Suit combat, the series has also expanded into manga, novels, games, and plastic model kits, earning fans across generations.
Design Highlights
The check shirts draw inspiration from three titles in the Gundam universe:
- Mobile Suit Gundam — embroidered with the Principality of Zeon military emblem
- Mobile Suit Gundam: Char’s Counterattack — embroidered with Amuro Ray’s personal emblem
- Mobile Suit Gundam: Hathaway’s Flash — Witch of Circe — embroidered with the Mafty emblem
Each emblem is prominently stitched onto the left chest, with additional logo embroidery on the back to give the shirts extra visual depth.
Fit and Styling
The shirts feature a relaxed silhouette that works equally well worn alone or layered over a tee. They pair easily with denim and chinos for a casual look, or with slacks for a cleaner, smart-casual aesthetic. Sizes range from M to XXL.

Pre-orders via Premium Bandai open on September 25, 2026 at 13:00 JST and close on October 11, 2026 at 23:00 JST, with shipping scheduled for October.
