Bandai Namco Filmworks has released the main promotional video, a new key visual, and a wave of additional cast, staff, and theme song information for the television anime adaptation of Manabu Yashiro‘s manga Tank Chair. The series is set to premiere on October 4.
Theme Songs
Reggae-punk band SiM performs the opening theme “DALALA,” while musical artist Daoko handles the ending theme “SYNC.”
New Cast Members
- Yurina Amami as Dr. Radio, a genius scientist living in hiding inside an abandoned radio tower
- Gen Sato as Uzu, a mysterious newcomer who joins Class A of the “Academy”
A character visual for Sensei — the founder of the “Academy” and an absolute ruler of unfathomable menace and overwhelming power — was also revealed.
Story
Shizuka takes on the most dangerous assassin jobs, but she is not the one doing the killing. That role falls to her brother, Nagi, a formidable assassin who took a bullet to protect his sister and was left in a comatose state, confined to a wheelchair. Shizuka has discovered the one thing that can wake him: he must be confronted with killing intent. A brutal journey of recovery begins as the siblings battle the world’s most dangerous foes.

The anime is produced at Polygon Pictures, directed by Tadahiro Yoshihira (Knights of Sidonia: Love Woven in the Stars) and Hiroaki Ando (Kaina of the Great Snow Sea, Ajin), who are also co-writing the scripts; Yoshihira additionally supervises the overall series scripts. Yūki Moriyama (Blame!) is designing the characters, Masaru Yokoyama (Mashle: Magic and Muscles, Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans) is composing the score, and Kazuma Teshigahara (Kaina of the Great Snow Sea) is credited for production design.

Broadcast Schedule
The anime premieres on October 4 on Tokyo MX at 11:00 p.m. JST, followed by BS11 at 24:30 JST (effectively 12:30 a.m. on October 5). It then airs on CBC on October 5 and on MBS on October 6.
About the Manga
Yashiro launched the manga on Kodansha’s Magazine Pocket platform in November 2022. It transferred to Kodansha’s Monthly Shonen Sirius magazine in November 2024. The 10th compiled volume was published on March 26. Kodansha USA Publishing holds the English-language license, with the series also available through the K MANGA digital service.
