The TV anime Tanuki to Kitsune — based on the manga by Atamoto — has officially revealed its key visual, accompanied by the tagline: “Every day is special just being with you.”
The visual features Tanuki and Kitsune happily munching on onigiri together, while a group of rabbits enjoy dango nearby and a bear and wolf peek out curiously from the shade of the trees. The image captures the series’ signature warmth and gentle charm.
Story
Tanuki to Kitsune follows the everyday lives of Tanuki, a slightly scatterbrained raccoon dog, and Kitsune, a mischievous fox, as they spend their days together in a cozy, heartwarming world.

New Manga Volume on Sale October 15
Alongside the anime announcement, it was confirmed that Tanuki to Kitsune Yurutto Vol. 2 will go on sale on October 15. The volume includes stories from Tanuki and Kitsune’s younger days, episodes where the pair dress up as a detective and a hero, and 61 pages of newly drawn manga.
