The official website for the The Vermillion Mask (朱色の仮面, Shuiro no Kamen) anime, based on the manga by Dr.Poro and Nabana Naba, announced on Thursday that the series’ second part will premiere in April 2027 on Yomiuri TV and NTV, airing every Saturday at 5:30 p.m. JST.
Story
The series centers on Peru, a young apprentice mask maker who loses control under the influence of a cursed mask, accidentally slaying both his master and his comrades. Consumed by guilt, Peru embarks on a journey to destroy the legendary masks his master once created, encountering unexpected allies and formidable enemies along the way. The story becomes a gripping battle for redemption, with both Peru’s soul and the fate of the world hanging in the balance.
Broadcast Details
The anime’s first part premieres on October 10 on Yomiuri TV and NTV at 5:30 p.m. JST. The series is divided into two parts (cours). Crunchyroll will simulcast the anime as it airs in Japan.

Dr.Poro and Naba launched The Vermillion Mask manga in Shōnengahōsha‘s Young King Ours magazine in February 2021. The 10th compiled volume is scheduled for release on November 30. English-language readers can access the manga through Orange’s emaqi e-bookstore platform.
