The official key visual for Touken Ranbu – ICE BLADE – has been unveiled, bringing together all eight skaters who portray the iconic Touken Danshi (sword warriors) of the beloved franchise. The image captures the speed and glittering brilliance of the ice that will define this landmark show — the very first ice show in Touken Ranbu history.
About Touken Ranbu ONLINE
Touken Ranbu ONLINE is a sword-raising simulation game developed by DMM GAMES and NITRO PLUS, boasting a cumulative player base of over 14 million. Players take on the role of a Saniwa — a sage who can awaken the spirits within objects — and command the Touken Danshi, legendary swords reborn as handsome warriors, in battles to protect history from those who seek to alter it.

Figure skating star Kaori Sakamoto — silver medalist in women’s singles at the Milan-Cortina Winter Olympics — will also appear as the “Ice Spirit” (氷の精霊), an original character created exclusively for this production. The renowned taiko ensemble Kodo will also perform.
Solo visuals for each of the eight Touken Danshi, as well as visuals for other cast members, will be released on a rolling basis going forward.
Story
The year is 2205. A faction known as the “Historical Revisionists” has begun launching attacks on the past. To stop them, the Government of Time dispatches Saniwa to various eras, awakening the Tsukumogami spirits within legendary swords — the Touken Danshi — to fight in defense of history.
At a certain Honmaru (citadel) protected by five shrines representing the five elements — Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, and Water — the warriors have been entrusted with a special mission: to watch over the Gisho, or “False Texts,” which corrupt and devour true history. One day, a five-headed dragon known as Gozuryu suddenly attacks the Honmaru, destroying the shrines and scattering the five elemental spirits into the False Texts. At that very moment, deep within the Honmaru, an Ice Spirit awakens…
Can Mikazuki Munechika and his fellow Touken Danshi rescue the elemental spirits from the twisted false history — the Gishi — created by the False Texts? A new battle for the sword warriors, the Ice Blade, is about to begin.
