Viz Media announced via X (formerly Twitter) on Tuesday that it will release a 16-disc limited edition Blu-ray collection compiling all 24 Pokémon films released to date. The set will be sold exclusively through Amazon in the United States, launching on November 24.
Box Set Details
The collection is priced at US$399.99 and is currently available for pre-order. Its standout feature is a special container designed in the shape of a Pokéball. The set also includes a mini art booklet featuring imagery from across the films.
Amazon’s listing notes Japanese language support, though no Pokémon film has previously received a Japanese-language release in the United States. The listing also credits Veronica Taylor — the original English voice actress of Ash Ketchum — as a contributor, and uses English dub titles such as “Ash” and Pokémon: The First Movie.
The 24 films counted in the collection include two versions each of the Mewtwo Strikes Back and Victini films.
New Pokémon Film Announced: Pokémon: Wild Card
Separately, The Pokémon Company announced on Monday an all-new anime film titled Pokémon: Wild Card, set to open in 2027. CloverWorks is attached to animate the project.
Counting the two Victini films as one entry, Pokémon: Wild Card will be the 24th anime film in the franchise and the first since Pokémon the Movie: Secrets of the Jungle (Gekijōban Pocket Monster Koko), which opened in Japan in December 2020 before arriving on Netflix in October 2021.
