The production team behind the summer 2026 anime World Is Dancing has released the synopsis and advance preview stills for Episode 2 (第二番), titled “You Have a Body, Don’t You” (あんたには身体があるじゃないか). The episode is set to air on Thursday, July 9, 2026, on TOKYO MX, BS Asahi, TVQ Kyushu Broadcasting, and other stations across Japan.
About World Is Dancing
World Is Dancing is a TV anime adaptation of the “Noh” manga by Kazuto Mihara, serialized in Kodansha’s Morning magazine. Set in a turbulent age of constant conflict, the story follows Kiyasha (鬼夜叉), a curious and beautiful young boy, as he encounters people, laughs, cries, and confronts his own shortcomings — gradually forging a new style of dance in an ever-changing world. The series imagines the early life of Zeami, the man who would later give birth to the art of Noh, during the time he was still known as Kiyasha — a dancing story that has continued for over 600 years.

The series is directed by Toshimasa Kuroyanagi, known for The Great Passage, Bakuten!!, and Omoi, Omoware, Furi, Furare. Animation production is handled by Cypic, the studio behind Uma Musume: Cinderella Gray and Hikari ga Shinda Natsu.

Episode 2 Synopsis: “You Have a Body, Don’t You”
Captivated by the beauty of yoi (よい), Kiyasha yearns to dance with that same grace. He begins visiting the Shirabyoshi dancer regularly, bringing along his friends Kogane and Ishiya.
A particular encounter with her becomes a turning point — and it isn’t only Kiyasha’s dancing that changes as a result.
Broadcast and Streaming Information
The series began airing on Thursday, July 2, 2026, across nine stations in Japan. Key timeslots include TOKYO MX (every Thursday at 22:00), BS Asahi (every Friday at 23:00), and TVQ Kyushu Broadcasting (every Friday at 17:00), among others.
For streaming, Prime Video carries the series with an early simulcast ahead of the terrestrial broadcast, beginning Monday, June 29, 2026, at 22:00. ABEMA streams the series simultaneously with the TV broadcast from July 2. The series is also available on U-NEXT, Hulu, dAnime Store, DMM TV, FOD, Lemino, Niconico, and many other platforms.
