The official website for the Wound & Bandage (Kizuguchi to Hōtai) television anime — based on the manga by Umihoshi Nanai — has released a teaser promotional video and announced both its main voice cast and a premiere date of January 9.

The anime is being produced at J.C. Staff under the direction of Miyuki Ishida, known for directing I.Cinnamoroll and serving as an episode director on One Punch Man seasons 2 and 3. Susumu Yamakawa — writer of all three seasons of The Way of the Househusband and Murai in Love — is handling series composition, while Natsuki Ōyama of Can a Boy-Girl Friendship Survive? is designing the characters.
Synopsis
The romantic comedy follows Riyo Washizu, the daughter of the boss of a yakuza organization that dominates the Kanto region of Japan. Gō Kiritani, a young member of the organization, is assigned as her caretaker and expects to look after a quiet, well-behaved girl — only to discover that Riyo harbors an unusual fetish: she is captivated by the sight of powerful people at their most vulnerable.

The original manga launched on Kodansha’s Comic Days app in August 2024. The fifth compiled volume went on sale on July 16.
