The official website for the television anime adaptation of Rokuro Uraji‘s novel series Zombie no Afureta Sekai de Ore Dake ga Osowarenai (I Am the Only One Who Is Not Attacked in the World Filled with Zombies) launched on Thursday, revealing a teaser promotional video, teaser visual, main cast, and staff. The site also confirmed that the anime’s premiere has been pushed back to January 2027 on the premium AT-X channel — the series had previously been announced for a 2025 debut.

Story
Described as a “zombie panic action” series, the story is set in a world suddenly overrun by zombies. For reasons unknown, protagonist Takemura is the one person the undead never attack. Rather than using this inexplicable immunity to heroically battle the zombie horde, he simply chooses to live life entirely on his own terms.
Source Material
Uraji originally serialized the story on the R18 section of the Shōsetsuka ni Narō website beginning in January 2013, concluding in 2017. Frontier Works published the story in three print volumes with illustrations by Saburō between 2016 and 2017.
Chihiro Masuda launched a manga adaptation in June 2021; Frontier Works will release its fifth volume on August 5. A spinoff manga titled Zombie no Afureta Sekai de Ore Dake ga Osowarenai Tokiko IF STORY, drawn by Robo Kondō, began serialization on the Comic CMOA website in October of last year, with its first compiled volume also shipping on August 5.
