The production team behind the summer 2026 anime Tenmaku no Jādūgal (天幕のジャードゥーガル) has released the synopsis and advance scene cuts for Episode 4, “Master of the Hearth (Otchigin),” set to air on Saturday, July 18, 2026, on TV Asahi’s nationwide “IMAnimation” block and BS Asahi.
About Tenmaku no Jādūgal
Tenmaku no Jādūgal is a TV anime adaptation of the historical manga by Tomato Soup, serialized in Akita Shoten’s Souffle magazine, with five compiled volumes currently on sale. Set in 13th-century Mongolia, the story follows Sitara (Fatima), a former slave girl taken captive by the Mongol Empire, who encounters Döregene, the emperor’s sixth consort, who harbors her own complicated feelings toward the empire. Together, the two women use their wits to shake the very foundations of the empire.

Yamada Naoko serves as chief director, with Abel Gongora as director. The series composition is handled by Kato Kanichi, character design and animation chief by Yoshida Kenichi, directing chief by Fujikura Takuya, art director by Kabasawa Yuri, color design by Konno Narumi, photography director by Takahashi Naoki, editing by Hirose Kiyoshi, music by Hino Kojiro, and sound director by Konuma Noriyoshi. Animation production is by Science SARU, the acclaimed studio behind Dandadan, Heike Monogatari, and Eizouken ni wa Te wo Dasu na!

Episode 4 Synopsis — “Master of the Hearth (Otchigin)”
Sitara has been appointed as an instructor of the “Principles” for Sorqoqtani, Tolui’s principal wife. Though she seethes with intense hatred inside, Sitara plays the role of an obedient aide on the surface, biding her time for the right moment.
Years pass, and once Sitara has fully earned Sorqoqtani’s trust, a momentous event shakes the empire — Emperor Genghis Khan passes away. As the political order undergoes a dramatic shift, an entirely unexpected command is issued to Sitara.
Broadcast Schedule
Tenmaku no Jādūgal premiered on July 4, 2026, with a special back-to-back two-episode one-hour broadcast. Subsequent episodes air every Saturday at 11:30 p.m. on TV Asahi’s nationwide “IMAnimation” block and BS Asahi. Episode 4 airs on Saturday, July 18, 2026.
