A special English vocal version of “You Say Run” — one of the most iconic tracks from the My Hero Academia anime — is set for digital release on September 22. The new version, titled “You Say Run -10th Anniversary ver.-“, is part of the ongoing My Hero Academia The Animation 10th Anniversary project celebrating a decade of the anime adaptation of Kōhei Horikoshi’s manga.
Electric Callboy Lend Their Voices
Vocals on the anniversary version are performed by Kevin Ratajczak and Nico Sallach of Electric Callboy, a German electronicore band. The original “You Say Run” was composed by Yuki Hayashi, who had long harbored the idea of what the track might sound like with lyrics. After extensive research by Hayashi and the My Hero Academia soundtrack team, Electric Callboy emerged as the ideal collaborators and were approached for the project.
The band enthusiastically accepted, saying the opportunity to bring their vocals and energy to such a legendary and globally beloved anime was “an incredibly positive and wonderful experience.”

Special Jacket Art by Bones Film
Alongside the release, Bones Film has produced a newly drawn digital jacket illustration featuring protagonist Izuku Midoriya unleashing a full-powered SMASH. The artwork is designed as a homage to the jacket of the Season 1 soundtrack, tying the anniversary release back to the series’ roots.
