A special pop-up shop titled 「TOKYO MANGA BASE 小学館原画アート祭 (Shogakukan Genga Art Festival)」 has been officially announced, running from Sunday, September 20 to Tuesday, September 29, 2026, at Ginza Tsutaya Books GINZA ATRIUM on the 6th floor of GINZA SIX in Tokyo.

TOKYO MANGA BASE is a domestic and international merchandise business focused on officially licensed manga products. In addition to pop-up shops held both in Japan and overseas, the platform operates a cross-border e-commerce service that allows fans living outside Japan to order directly from Japanese online stores. The service is currently available in 10 countries and regions, including the United States, Canada, Taiwan, and South Korea.

Curated to match the concept of the Ginza Tsutaya Books venue, the event showcases products designed around manga splash pages and color illustrations, presented as “Genga Art” (原画アート). Key highlights include:
- Reproduction prints (複製原画) from titles such as Sousou no Frieren and BANANA FISH — normally available only through Shogakukan’s official EC site “LIFETUNES MALL”
- Metal Canvas Art — 2.5-dimensional artwork that uses special technology to give illustrations a striking sense of depth and texture

Spotlight Item: Frieren × Vermeer’s “Girl with a Pearl Earring”
The most talked-about item is a Sousou no Frieren × Vermeer 《Girl with a Pearl Earring》 reproduction print, created to coincide with the 「Vermeer: Girl with a Pearl Earring」 exhibition currently on display at the Nakanoshima Museum of Art in Osaka. The image was produced with authorization from the Mauritshuis Museum in The Hague, Netherlands. The print will be on special display at the event, with order-taking also available on-site.
A First: Reproduction Prints Available via Cross-Border EC
In a new initiative, a selection of items from the event will be sold simultaneously on the TOKYO MANGA BASE cross-border EC platform — marking the first time reproduction prints have been made available to overseas customers through this channel. Fans around the world can thus experience the excitement of the Ginza event in real time, without traveling to Japan.
