Story and Highlights

Set in U.C. 0105, twelve years after Char’s Rebellion, Hathaway Noa — son of Bright Noa — leads the anti-Earth Federation organization “Mafty,” resorting to the assassination of government officials to resist oppression. As he prepares to attack the Adelaide Conference, he finds himself emotionally unsettled by the words of Gigi Andalucia, a mysterious young woman with an inexplicable power.

Meanwhile, Federation officer Kenneth Sleg readies both a support operation for the conference and a plan to annihilate Mafty, while being approached with a secret deal by Handley Yocksan of the criminal police organization. Gigi, too, sets off for Hong Kong to fulfill her own role.

A key highlight is the MS combat featuring Ξ (Xi) Gundam, which uses an onboard Minovsky Flight Unit to fly within the atmosphere. Also appearing are the Penelope, deployed by Kenneth to destroy Mafty, and the new MS Alyuseus designed for Lane Aim. The film also includes scenes featuring Hathaway’s parents, Bright Noa and Mirai Noa.

FAQ

Is there a free way to watch?

As of October 2026, no fully free official streaming option has been confirmed. There is no TVer catch-up stream, and no rental listing on YouTube for this film (only the first film and trailers for this one are available there). The best option for new subscribers is Amazon Prime’s 30-day free trial.

Do I need to watch the first film first?

It is strongly recommended to watch Mobile Suit Gundam: Hathaway’s Flash (2021) beforehand, as Hathaway’s role as Mafty’s leader and his initial encounters with Gigi and Kenneth are all established in the first film.
