In a result that surprised many fans, Kanchou-san (the Museum Director) took first place with 8,342 votes. The full top rankings were:
- 1st — Kanchou-san (館長さん) — 8,342 votes
- 2nd — Ushi (ウシ) — 7,426 votes
- 3rd — Kimi-chan (公ちゃん) — 6,629 votes
- 4th — Jitensha Ojisan (自転車おじさん) — 6,307 votes
- 5th — Bin-chan (貧ちゃん) — 5,545 votes
The production team had originally planned to merchandise only the top five characters. However, because 5th-place Bin-chan and 6th-place Denbo (電ボ) were separated by just 9 votes, the team made the special decision to include Denbo as well, bringing the total number of characters receiving merchandise to six.
