The fourth and final cour of the TV anime BLEACH: Thousand-Year Blood War, subtitled “The Conflict” (禍進譚 / Kajintan), officially launched on July 25, 2026 at 23:00 JST on TV Tokyo and its affiliates. Ahead of the premiere, three figures connected to the BLEACH franchise shared special comments: Yukino Satsuki, the voice of Yoruichi Shihoin; Fukushi Sota, who played Ichigo Kurosaki in the live-action film; and Kihara Rui, who portrayed Ichigo in Rock Musical BLEACH: Arrancar Arc.
Yukino Satsuki — Voice of Yoruichi Shihoin
Having voiced Yoruichi for over 20 years, Yukino described the character as “the most difficult I have ever had to empathize with.” She reflected that no matter how hard she imagined, she always felt she could not match the depth and magnanimity of Yoruichi, and spent years searching for ways to bridge that gap.
“In the early days, I would finish a recording session and walk away feeling deflated, going over everything again and again,” she wrote. “But for The Conflict, I steeled myself with the conviction that if I am the one playing Yoruichi, then no one else can — and no one else should. With that resolve, I saw the final cour through to the end.”
For Episode 41, titled “GOD OF THUNDER,” she highlighted the key tension of Yoruichi being cornered by Askin, and encouraged fans to look forward to seeing how she fights her way out.
Fukushi Sota — Live-Action Ichigo
Fukushi, who had an early look at the episode, said “the visuals, the music, the sound — everything was breathtaking.” He noted that beyond the sheer beauty of the animation, he was drawn into the world by the emotions, inner conflicts, and resolve of each character.
“What moved me most was Ichigo’s growth and transformation,” he wrote. “No matter what hardship he faces, he keeps moving forward to protect the people he loves. As someone who once played him in the live-action version, he is a very special character to me — one who made me want to be like him and push myself harder.” He also teased highlights including an unexpected side of Urahara Kisuke and a joint battle between Ichigo and Orihime.
Kihara Rui — Musical Stage Ichigo
Kihara, who played Ichigo in the Rock Musical BLEACH Arrancar Arc, said the final cour left him trembling “in both body and spirit” with its intensity and momentum. He felt that every scene in The Conflict brings together everything BLEACH has built — Ichigo’s desire to protect everyone, and the friends who stand by his side.
“Please let me cheer BLEACH on until the very end!” he concluded. “Let’s all enjoy it together, with everything we’ve got.”
