The production team behind the fall 2026 anime 「チー付与」(Chi Fuyo) has officially released the episode synopsis and preview images for Episode 1, which is scheduled to air on Tuesday, October 6, 2026.
About the Source Material
The series’ full title is Tsuihou Sareta Cheat Fuyo Majutsushi wa Kimama na Second Life wo Ouka Suru — a fantasy isekai manga based on the original story by Mutsushima Asa, art by Gyomuyo Mochi, and original character designs by Kisui, serialized in Kodansha’s “Monthly Manga Basics” (月マガ基地). The series has surpassed a cumulative 1.5 million copies in circulation.
The manga is celebrated for its wildly chaotic comedy and emotionally resonant character moments. The original author themselves has noted:
“The novel version and manga version differ by roughly 99% — please be aware.”
True to that warning, the story consistently delivers surprises well beyond expectations.
Episode 1 Synopsis
Rain Garland is an enhancement mage who can bestow “Reinforcement Points” upon virtually anything — weapons, armor, and beyond. He works at the adventurers’ guild “Ouujuu no Kiba” (Fang of the Beast King), but is abruptly expelled when the guild master Barios acts on a passing whim.
In response, Rain revokes all the Reinforcement Points he had previously granted to his former guildmates’ equipment, and resolves to use that recovered power to begin a new life as a free adventurer. While searching for a new guild, he encounters Nina, a receptionist, and Elsie Zora, the guild master of “Ao no Suishou” (Blue Crystal). He decides to join their guild and soon sets off to slay a dragon alongside Lily Flambell, an S-rank adventurer of the same guild — but what awaits them?
